Lou brings nearly 25 years of consulting experience to Principia where he leads the strategic direction and growth of the company. He is an experienced professional in strategy development and general management with a background in materials-based sectors. Today, he focuses his attention on building products, plastics and specialty chemicals industries.
He has worked with many of the Fortune 500 companies in sectors served by the company at senior management levels to help drive profitable growth. He is focused on assisting the Firm's clients with strategic planning, business participation options, competitive positioning, and channel strategies.
Lou founded Principia in 1995 after directing a chemicals consulting practice at a former Arthur D. Little company. Previously, Lou was responsible for managing the Plastics practice at Kline & Company. Industry experience includes roles in sales and market development for Cookson America and PMC. Lou holds a BA in Business Administration/Computer Science from Muhlenberg College.
Ken is a senior materials strategist with over 30 years of professional experience in this field. He combines a successful line management career with relevant consulting background, including strong track record in executing profitable growth strategies, conducting successful business development and acquisitions programs, and improving operational efficiency.
Ken leads the company's project teams for its international clientele spanning the fields of building products, chemicals and plastics. His engagements have resulted in cash flow improvements, margin gains, customer satisfaction increases and business growth with a track record of more than 200 successful client engagements.
Ken has been with Principia since 2002. He experience includes industry management positions at PolyOne, Techmer PM, Degussa and Ciba, and consulting background with Charles River Associates and Kline & Company. Ken earned a BS Chemistry from Drexel University and an MBA Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Steve has worked in the minerals and building & construction materials industries for over 30 years. Over the past 15 years, he has been working with companies in developing business strategies, including go-to-market, product and market positioning, distribution channel and acquisition strategies for building and forest products, construction materials and specialty chemical companies.
Industry experience includes geology, raw materials management, business planning and strategic marketing roles with such companies as Newmont Mining and Essroc Cement. At Essroc, Steve was responsible for developing the company's sales and marketing business plan, including sales and demand forecasts, market share analysis and niche market strategy development. Steve has an MS in Mineral Economics from the University of Arizona and a BS in Geology Geochemistry from Pennsylvania State University.
