Ashish is a Principal at Principia Partners and is a member of the Firm's Chemicals and Polymers practice. Ashish has five years of experience working as a Research Engineer and Platforms Technology Leader at GE Plastics (now SABIC Innovative Plastics). At GE Plastics, Ashish led a nanotechnology team that developed the value proposition for various nanotechnology enabled polymeric compounds. Ashish is the co-inventor of two patents at GE Plastics one of which resulted in the commercialization of GE's Extem resin under the Victrex-MAX series class of high performance materials. Ashish is also a graduate of GE's Edison Leadership program, is a certified six sigma green belt, and has extensive background in new product development, market and competitive assessment, and new opportunities assessment.

Ashish holds PhD and ME degrees in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech where he carried out research funded by Dow Chemical in the area of polyurethanes. His work at Virginia Tech resulted in more than ten refereed journal publications in various scientific journals. Ashish received a Bachelor's of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
