Builders and Contractors Report Interior Building Products Cost on the Rise

Rounding out our blog series on price change quarter-over-quarter, we explore how dealer prices to builders and contractors changed for interior building product categories. A parallel examination of this topic for exterior building materials revealed increasing prices across the board.

Builders and contractors were asked, “How has the pricing (the price you pay your dealers or retailers) changed in the last 12 months?” Here are the results.

Compared to 12 months prior, builders and contractors are reporting slightly larger price increases for Q1 2025. Building product prices has seen an uptick across all categories in comparison to Q3 2024.
