A manufacturer of siding wanted to accelerate growth of its business and needed an assessment of the relative strengths and weaknesses of its current distribution network.
Principia’s Pro and Retail Channels in LBM Distribution 2019 provided the client with an evaluation of the major channels for its product line and where the expected growth in the channel was likely to occur. In addition, the online data access with the program enabled the client to map out where its strongest distribution regions were relative to its key competitors and conversely identify areas it needed to bolster its representation.
Using a combination of the report and the online data tools, the supplier identified target distribution partners for its product in key regions and systematically built its network. Overall the client’s growth accelerated from an improvement in the quality of its network as well as an overall expansion of stocking locations.
